DO NOT GO HERE!

This so-called dental office is a scam and full of people who don't tell you the truth. They push you to sign up for credit instead of dealing with your insurance company, which means you must deal with your insurance company instead. Also, they did not tell me they were out of network from my insurance, which meant after MONTHS of phone calls and emails I had to pay for the whole procedure myself.

Outside of the insane billing procedures, I had to get the bridge to replace a broken tooth done twice because the first time the dentist screwed it up so badly it wouldn't fit. And the reason he screwed it up so badly was the scheduling department had screwed up my appointment which meant they had to squeeze me in at the last minute and the dentist and assistant clearly did not care if they did their work properly.

And I found out later the procedure they recommended for me to get was TWICE the price of another procedure I could have received and they never told me the price difference.

Long story short: DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Abbey Dental is a fraudulent, and deceptive.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Okay was asked by a female friend to relieve her grandmother of transportation and provide transportation for her after her dental work is complete. Well there I was asked if I would verify that my friend was indeed who she claimed to be errand asked me to sign a electronic signature stating that I know her and she is who she claims to be.

Before I signed i8 made it real clear that I'm not going to sign anything they be responsible for her billing and they assured me that that it will not happen. Talk about lying right through their teeth. So my female friend ended up getting a DUI and going to jail. Well who would have ever imagined that they had somehow illegally fraudulently applied with my signature for a credit card with Credit Care and sent me credit cards in the mail.

Of course I never use them and I was rather confused as to why they did so. Then I started receiving bills for her dental work which at that time and many times after that I tried calling Abbey Dental. But, they do not answer their phone. I continue to receive billing for this, now in prison, female friend.

To shorten the story and to get more directly to the point, Abbey Dental sold her bill to a creditor as a unpaid credit card debt. Now keep in the morning I did not time for a credit card they fraudulently did and have destroyed my ruined my credit, to which otherwise, is at good standings. People beware of The lying, manipulative, and deceptiveness that Abbey Dental applies to their services.

Also, Credit Care works with Abbey Dental fraudulently and are crooks! Beware!!!

A used car sales mentality prevails, they take you for all they can get. If you patronize them remember to be prepared to barter hard , don't be afraid to shop around. They are not the only dentist in town.

DECEPTION

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My 79 year old Father in law dying of terminal cancer went to Abbey dental to have his teeth looked at before he started his final chemo treatment.

The people at Abbey Dental talked him into getting $10,000 worth of dental treatment! It was fully disclosed that he had cancer and was going for chemo treatment before they started any work. When he called me and I found out about what they wanted to do I immediately told him to go back into them and tell them he didn't want any work done and that he would just pay for what was started, I was later told by him that when he went in to tell them there were 3 separate people that in his words ganged up on him and talked him into getting the work done. I live in Chicago and he lives here in Las Vegas.

A couple weeks after I spoke to him I called him again to follow up and after he told me all of what happened I immediately called and spoke to a Norma who after I explained the situation all she said to me was why didn't he bring anyone with him? it was at that point I absolutely knew that this Dental office was up to no good, about a week later my father received papers that he signed which of course now we know he signed under duress and pressure sales tactics as if they had read the paperwork them selves not only does he say that he has cancer on the paperwork but he discussed it with them. Using financing is the biggest sales tactic in order to get someone to spend money that they necessarily don't need to spend. What 80 year old man who has terminal cancer would in their right mind would spend $10,000?????

No one I know. I see that this dental office spends a lot of money on TV advertising I would assume in my opinion that they need to pay for all that advertising somehow. Deception there's no other word to describe it!

Their actions tell me that they believe they are untouchable and can continue to get away with practicing the way they do, what they don't know is in today's world it's actually sites such as this that truly gives the power back to the people to best make their own informed decisions and to stay away at their own desecration. Thank you for taking time to read my review.

I was thinking of going there but I sure as *** won't now. Thank you.

I went in there expecting to see my dentist who has treated me before and was given new paperwork to fill out with financing options. Then I was greeted by a treatment coordinator.

He looked uncomfortable. He told me my dentist was not in, and that I needed $150.00 X-rays. He was asking me to finance the cost of the X-rays. I felt like I was going to slaughter.

So, I left. I remember when I paid 5 dollars for x-rays there, and the when the waiting room was full of clients.

Now it’s empty and the staff has turned into a pack of wolves. Not going back!

Painful!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Went in to have 9 teeth removed to get a denture. I felt like I stepped back into 1960's.

Worse shots I have ever had. I worked for dentists for years and shots do not have to hurt. This one did not sure even use a topical (to deaden the skin before the shot)

Every shot hurt. HURT!

When I saw how old the dentist was, I was hoping he knew how to give a painless shot. No! I felt like I was in the dental chair and 10 years old again. He was late to the appt.

He didn't even wait for the shots to take effect and started to extract the tooth!

He even yelled at me for "pulling" away. Horrible experience....save yourself the pain and go elsewhere!

I had the same experience with Dr. Ostler.

The shots hurt, as if he were purposefully hurting me.

In addition, he did not wait for the numbing to take effect before pulling my teeth (very forcefully). Not a happy camper!

Scam steer clear

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

True Las Vegas story: once I found out I have a cavity and it likely needs a crown. My own dentist said $600+ because they only do porcelain. So I called Abbey Dental (you've seen the low price guarantee commercials right? "Call Abbey Dental second opinions are free!")

First question I asked: do you take Teachers Health Trust insurance. She said YES.

Then, shall I bring my xrays with me? She says oh no that's not necessary xrays are included in the second opinion.

These turned out to be lies. Reading the fine print showed that they don't accept ANY insurance AT ALL. They suggest you pay them in full, in advance, then ask your insurance provider to be reimbursed.

Oh and the 'included' xrays? If I had missed the fine print and let them touch me I would owe them $150.

Walked out of that shady office. Which I might add is all the way across town.

An hour of driving for NOTHING

Abbey Dental is a scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I called Abbey Dental because my wife needed implants. We had already been to two practices that offered assessments for her for free. Dental implants are very expensive, so I called Abbey Dental to find out what they charge for implants. The receptionist told me they would beat any price and that the exam would be for free.

When we got there, they told us that while the exam was free, they wanted $750 for the X-ray. I would have thought the receptionist would have told me this when she said the X-ray was free.

I took off the afternoon from work and drove half an hour one way to learn this. I think it stinks.

This practice is a scam.

Implant

I got a 4 on 1 upper dental implant and I will say the Doctor and Assistant were great. I signed paperwork before the surgery and was never given copies that I requested.

Not only that but no information on what was covered. After the final visit there was no follow up. Contacting a case worker to get the cost of a simple o ring replacement is difficult since they do not answer the phone. My device does not fit right and there are many foods that I cannot bite or eat.

Had I known before hand the issue with this type of implant device and the problems with follow up I would not have gone forward. I would not recommend this company.

Used car salesman pitch

I went to Abbey dental because I saw a TV add for implants , this is a very dishonest and expensive company I have told all my friends to avoid going there and will file an official complaint with the BBB. I went there for a second opinion on the cost for dental implants , they gave me a price option of more than 8000 of course I did not agree to that their next option was for me to get new partial dentures and a new crown which I did not want some how before I knew it I was taking xrays which they charged for although they told me that they would be free , before I knew I was in the dentist chair one of two and getting pain killers shot into my gums , I was given a new temporary crown which I did not need ( I have a great honest general dentist Happy dentist ) the dentist removed my dentures and took a mold of it I was told that I will get a new crown on my old partial in three weeks time .

I am now without my old dentures with some very sore gums to boot . My insurance company does not work with happy dental but I was lied to that they did I signed a bunch of papers only to realize after the pain medication had worn of that I had agree to over 1700 dollars of unnecessary and painful crown work . I went to their office the next day and told them that I wanted my old partials back they refused saying that the order had already been placed . Everything will happen very fast so you wont have a chance to read the multiply forms they will have you sign , this sham place reminds me of a used car parking lot where high pressure sales tactics and smiling salesmen and women try to rip you off .

I now have to come up with money which I had not budget for to pay for dental work which I did not want and need . Another thing to lookout for is their financing company it has huge APR and the potential to ruin your credit .

I do plan on paying the fees they charged but I will have an attorney file a lawsuit against them for unfair and deceptive trade practices . I am sure there are other persons who have been ripped of by Abbey dentals make sure you write a review of your experience .

I am sure that when I go to pick up my old partials with new crowns it wont be ready .

If you're wondering why it cost so much at Abbey Dental the owner of Abbey Dental lives in the Queensland area one of the most exclusive expensive areas in Las Vegas and I understand in one of most expensive homes in Queensland.

I've already written two complaints about Abbey Dental on South Eastern dr. Ostler I told him no way can I afford to do these dental implants.

Face-to-face I told dr. Arthur I cannot afford to do implants I will have these other teeth pulled and I will just get normal Dentures while I was sedated he put the titanium bolts in my jaw while I was sedated.after just telling him I cannot do implants. I will see Dr. Ostler in a court of law.

In the meantime the opinion from the other dentist who does implants is he believes he's injured the main nerve in my jaw I'm in constant pain for the last 12 days. My lower jaw face and lip is still numb. Kelvin larson. Also as I stated in the other complaint unknown to me they finance $33,000 using my name and they have that money.

I never okayed it I never agreed to it I knew nothing about it. Until I started receiving bills in the mail for payment already.

Insisted I needed dentures. Uppers never fit, had 7 "adjustments" which did nothing.

Then, by the "Grace Of God", I'm a candidate for Implants. Total rip-off to the tune of $11,000. Lesson learned.Sarcastic Anna G is a great salesperson, but lies. Abbey Dental is all about MONEY.

Run, Forrest, Run!! With an appointment, the waiting time's were not unreasonable, comfortable surroundings, friendly staff. No complaints about the dentist's or staff. Price and lies are my biggest complaint.

How did I suddenly become a candidate for implant's over night? Abbey dental is a total rip-off.

spend your money south of the border. Free Tequila shots, cold Serveza, good shrimp tacos.

Please don’t believe the commercials! I went there after living in Vegas for 6 months so I didn’t know much around here.

I went there for a fill. Sat in the seat and the doctor took a silver pick and basically ruined my front tooth so I had no choice but to go to them. Then I was told I have pre existing condition on my insurance so I would have to pay 325 up front haha.

I called my insurance and was told I didn’t have a pre existing condition and I wasn’t responsible for anything. Watch out for this place nothing but a rip off!

Abbey Dental and Care Credit Warning

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is a waring for you. I went to Abbey Dental to get a free consultation for dentures, Anna G.

was the agent in the finance Dept. She said that it would be better to have studs put in my lower jaw to hold the bottom plate. I needed an MRI first, so we went out, across the parking lot to their office where they have the MRI machine. I had the MRI.

At first she said I wasn’t a candidate because of bone loss. Then we walked back across the parking lot and by the time we got back to the office she said I was a good candidate for the studs, even though when I asked her why she said I wasn’t, then, miraculously 2 minutes later she said I was. She came up with a price that she showed me on the computer screen. I really didn’t get a clear explanation of the itemized charges.

Then she told me to sign on an electronic device on her desk. Then she told me what the monthly payments would be AFTER I SIGNED. It was somewhere close to $250 a month. I would NEVER have agreed to pay this amount.

I refused and she said she would have to wait until next week to get the offer rescinded since it was late Friday afternoon and her supervisors were the only ones who could authorize this and they had already left for the weekend. I left with nothing, no documents, no paperwork, as I came there. After thinking about it and how dishonest she had been, constantly telling me she was honest through the whole discussion, I decided didn’t want anything done through Abbey Dental. Anna called me the next week.

That’s when I told her I was cancelling any further treatment. She said I still had to come in to sign in person to cancel the transaction. When I got there she took me in to her office. I told her I wouldn’t do the procedure and was not interested in going any further with them.

She then left the office and brought in Shay, a closer I guess. While talking to Shay with Anna there I told her I could not deal with Anna because she had been so dishonest with me. I explained how I had never agreed to the payment amount for the price she had quoted. At that point Anna got really heated and Shay had to tell her to leave the office.

Shay apologized to me for Anna’s behavior and explained to me that Anna was new and therefore out of line. Then the hard sell started. I told her my concerns and she assured me that she understood. She then presented me with a new plan with a revised amount of approximately $7,800.

Remember, I have until this day, as I write this NEVER received any totals or amounts, documentation or paperwork from Abbey Dental. Then I get this credit card in the mail for $10,600 from Care Credit card company. Since she had quoted me a price for far less than that amount, I was under the impression that this card would entitle me to further treatment in the future at my discretion. I went to get the impressions made and chose what the dentures would look like.

A few days later after signing on this electronic device again, Shay called and said the dentists refused to do the procedure for the price she had quoted me explaining that they couldn’t afford to do it that cheaply. At that point I cancelled again, right then. At the same time I was looking for a new place to live and I went to check my credit score that I follow routinely. My score had dropped 40 points!

40 points lower and Abbey Dental has charged the CC card over the limit, $10,600, I immediately cancelled the credit card. Then I called the dentist, Dr. Kenneth Duffie, that did the impressions and he assured me that no one had consulted with him and he had nothing to do with the billing. I then told him I was no longer interested in getting any further work done and he said the owner would take care of the entire matter.

Shay called me again, not the owner and she told me they had already made the dentures and therefore I was responsible for the bill. This was only two days after I had the impressions done even though they had told me that the dentures would not be ready for another two weeks. This was the same people (both liars) that had originally quoted me a price of $250 for lowers and $450 for uppers as they advertise on their TV commercial. I NEVER would have gone there had I known what I now know about Abbey Dental.

Bait and switch: now it’s $1,800+ that they say I’m obligated to pay. They will destroy my credit score. I had been previously quoted $4.121 for the entire procedure in Laughlin (Affordable Dental) as I told them in the very beginning and they assured me they could be competitive for the price. Further, I had even offered to up my existing plan with Humana in order to cover extractions and again both of these dishonest representatives assured me it wouldn’t be necessary.

As I’m writing this, I just got another call from them to ask me how I was feeling after my procedure; extractions and fitting of my dentures. WHAT?! It got WAY WORSE. Dealing with Care Credit (Synchrony Bank, yeah Sam’s Club Credit’s bank) is one for the history books.

This group wastes your time with representatives that can’t answer any questions, they just record everything and say they’ll get back to you. Don’t waste your time, the answer is, “It’s your fault and you will pay or your credit rating is doomed”! I disputed this bill twice and am stuck with paying for dentures I’ll probably never use. Now remember, I signed for the $7,800 procedure, then told this horror show Care Credit Synchrony Bank I never received any contract.

So they send in the documents a sales receipt copy for $9,700 TOTAL, but they charged the credit card, without telling me for $10,700, then another Patient Ledger for $11,580. I ONLY APPROVED THE $7,800, but since they have my signature on some digital device they put it anywhere they want, forever, a year has gone by now. I finally called at least 10 times and my wife called too, she has a different name and number than me. Finally 2 calls back and I went and picked up my dentures, I’ll never be able to use them, but at least I’m not paying for NOTHING.

Dr.

Duffie handed the dentures to me and said he remembered my call a year ago when he begged me not to report him, his insurance will go up. If you plan to go to Abbey Dental, I feel for you, I’ll deal with my broken teeth, maybe I’ll go back to Affordable, there’s one in Centennial Hills.

Yes their commercials are full of it...we don't care if you have bad credit. Yeah, abbey dental doesn't but care credit does...

I would never recommend them.

Don't get me wrong..the work they did i am pleased (for something that i had to "settle" for less). The process from the "finance counselor/department" ..that is the major problem i feel and was very displeased!

Well I had considered going to Abbey to have some work done however after reading several review's. I'm gonna have to pass on Abbey.

Exensive / Useless Dentures

The Dentist I see in Mexico call's Abbey " Corporate Dentistry". The Dentures I "Had to have" never fit / won't stay in place.

When I kept going back for "adjustment's", was told I WAS a Candidate for upper implant's. What a MIRACLE, and for only $21,000. after I spent over $10 K for dentures. Don't waste time or money with Abbey.

I'm having implant's done in Mexico by a Dentist whom my cousin and his wife use regularly, and some other friends as well. Never have to wait when I have an appointment, and the price for full implants is half of what Abbey wanted for just the uppers.

Leisurely 6 hour drive to Yuma, spend the , spend the night, cross over in the morning , have the appointment, grab some lunch and home that evening. work's for me.

Deceptive and Shameful sales SCHEMES utilized by Abbey Denta

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Contacted Abbey (4/09) after viewing their comm ($500 or 20% off whichever is less) in comparison to another Dentist offer. I had an exam and cost of a Root canal done by another dental ofc on (4/09) proced cost ($1,375).

I called Abbey, setup an appt for today (4/10) I presented my written dental plan including pricing upon arrival.

I was escorted to an exam room and subsequently visited by 4 different people (one of which was Stacie from the front ofc), Stacie made 2 trips (first to explain a dental proced that I recognized as a sales attempt to increase pricing, I interrupted her and informed that sole purpose of being there was to accept the sales invitation offered on TV as related to the dental plan and costs that are presented, she left and returned with an offer to perform the proced for the same price that the other dentist quoted. I consider Abbeys tactics to be Harmful, Shameful, Deceitful and unfair to prospective patients as well as other DENTISTS that practice with HONOR and INTEGRITY!

I hate Abbey Dental as I became depressed and couldn't sleep for days after they have ripped me off with my dental implants. They told me they were infected and had to be removed both of them.

They told me that I was getting a bone graft at that same day and some temporary teeth to chew on after my two expensive teeth implants are removed and the women named Melissa took my credit card and charged me 3,009 without receipt.

One of my implants were not infected at all and had a whip-lash after removing it because it was very hard to remove and was forcefully removed. I was upset that I have allowed them to rip me off!!!
