Abbey Dental
Reviews and Complaints
Very un ethical practices
Went here to have a free second opinion. Filled out the forms but was not told if I didn't initial a box they would not only run my credit but have a line of credit from a third party extended to me. I made it clear during the appointment when asked about financing that I was not interested in outside financing
Its Commercial Drove Me Away
I spent several thousands of dollars at this dental clinic - but I will never go back - their commercials are not just bad, they're ear pollution, insulting, aggravating, annoying - you get the point. Especially the version where the hapless, talent-deprived actress playing the receptionist is trying to sing - dunno who she blew to get that gig - makes me wonder about the stations who air this crap.
Don't they have standards? Or will they sell airtime to anyone who writes a check?
These commercials have set a new "low" for advertisers. In the meantime, I'm happy to take my business elsewhere - I found a dentist that does brilliant work, without tv ads.
Failed to comply with agreed work and didn't what work they did!
Here is the recent emails to Abbey to fix the incorrect work they admitted doing but never actually fixing what we went to the dentists at Abbey Dental originally for! I called as well as wrote you today that my wife is still in pain and needs help to get her to another dentist sooner that the 30days the referred dentist could see her in which your response to my email is "We may go to another office that can see her sooner".
Thanks for the elaborate and informative response. When informed of a needed and necessary specialist referral during the last visit. The dentist seemed very adamant that only a specialist will be able to handle the root canal. Never mind the fact that you didn't offer any other specialists name or phone numbers in your brief response, but my understanding is that specialists also need a referral or at least you'd think the office that bit off more than they can treat would choose to help the patient and call the referring office call to help expedite getting the patient taken care of ASAP!
I think I have a much better understanding now of how Abbey Dental takes care of their patients when they aren't able to finish the work they started. Abbey apparently wants to distance itself from incorrect, unfinished, or unnecessary work regardless of their negligence. I still can't seem to wrap my head around the complete lack of care or help to expedite getting her in a chair ASAP and get her out of pain. The Abbey dental staff and office personnel have had a significant amount of time to address this as well as refer us to a different dentist when Abbey Dental has made multiple admitted mistakes that could easily be classified as gross negligence.
It's bad enough with all of the over promising and under delivering, but a complete lack of empathy or care about a patients that's in more pain now then when she came into the office. Isn't "Do No Harm" at the very beginning of every version of the Hippocratic oath that all dentists promise to uphold? Are you hoping that I'd just go away and not hold the dentists accountable for their actions as well as the staff involved with the state regulatory board, review forums, and all banks involved? Maybe you can print this partial ADA hippocratic oath out as a reminder of their pledge to patients, their health, safety, and themselves!
What a sad excuse for dental care! I'll be in touch Dentist’s Pledge (ADA Current Policies, 2016) I, Abbey Dental, as members of the dental profession, shall keep this pledge and these stipulations. I understand and accept that my primary responsibility is to my patients, and I shall dedicate myself to render, to the best of my ability, the highest standard of oral health care and to maintain a relationship of respect and confidence. Therefore, let all come to me safe in the knowledge that their total health and well-being are my first considerations.
I shall accept the responsibility that, as a professional, my competence rests on continuing the attainment of knowledge and skill in the arts and sciences of dentistry. I acknowledge my obligation to support and sustain the honor and integrity of the profession and to conduct myself in all endeavors such that I shall merit the respect of patients, colleagues and my community. I further commit myself to the betterment of my community for the benefit of all of society. I shall faithfully observe the Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct set forth by the profession.
All this I pledge with pride in my commitment to the profession and the public it serves. Subject: Need help. Hello Stacy, This is Doug Kohl. I'm emailing today you in regard to my wife Amber. She heard back from the dental office she was referred to and they can't get her in for a month.
Her sensitivity and pain has been constantly increasing since she left. She can't wait that long nor does it seem that the antibiotics, ibuprofen, or pain meds seem to be helping reduce the pain she's feeling at all. Is there anywhere else that you know of that can get her in immediately? I'm currently at work until 5 and can't talk right now, but I can talk if need be.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Loud TV Commercial
I just filled a complaint with the FCC. Abby Dental TV commercial is very loud and not to mention extremely annoying.
Every time I hear that nasty jingle, my birds start screeching. There is actually a law against Load TV commercials. Yes i do have better things to do then *** about some stupid TV commercial but it affects my Wife, Birds and my self at least 6 times a day.
Then from all the complaints about Abby Dental, if you were treated there and had issues you file a complaint with the American Dental Association. I encourage everyone to go to the FCC website and file a complaint under the Loud TV Commercial section.

Consumer Commercial Abuse
I'm pushing for a law that limits all advertiser to a specific number of time a day that the same companies, their subsidiaries or an individual may advertise the same product. I myself change the channel every time the Abbey Dental commercial comes on which most times causes me to start a new show on another channel.
If I were a network television show producer, I would be pissed off about advertisers killing my ratings. Everyone should changed the channel in the hope that television show producers will see a diminished returning viewer audience after commercials and investigate the cause. The cause? Advertiser abuses.
Plain and simple! Money talks and it does what we say because it's ours and they want it. That's the power of capitalism! I can tell you that I have not finished a whole television in years that was not recorded so that I could skip the commercials.
I do not bother with on-demand shows where my fast forward button is disabled. I vote with my remote.
Awful
Dr duffy poked whole through my sinus cavity and i have to see a cardiologist for severe infection had rhumatic fever still have pain facial swelling and drainage with awful odor they are the most uncaring people i know
NEVER EVER GO HERE
IF YOU LOVE THE EXPERIENCE OF HIGH PRESSURED RUTHLESS SALES PEOPLE THAT CARE ONLY ABOUT YOUR CREDIT RATING AND HOW MUCH CASH YOU CAN PRODUCE- THIS IS YOUR PLACE. THEY LIE AND REFUSE TO HONOR A PRICE MATCH THOUGH IT IS CLEARLY LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE, THE STAFF IS DISHONEST, CONDESCENDING AND COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR PHYSICAL OR EMOTIONAL TRAUMA REGARDING TOOTH LOSS., THEY CARE ONLY ABOUT MONEY AND HOW FAST YOU CAN PUT IT IN THERE HANDS.
THEY REFUSE TREATMENT PLANS AND PUTTING ANYTHING IN WRITING, IF THEY FEEL YOU ARE NOT PROFITABLE ENOUGH FOR THEM TO BOTHER, THEY SIMPLY LIE AND DISAPPEAR INTO THIN AIR WHEN YOU LEAVE THEIR OFFICE. IF YOU WANT PRETTY PEOPLE AND PRETTY BOTTLED WATER- THIS IS YOUR PLACE. IF YOU DESIRE HONESTY AND COMPASSION, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. YOUR INCOME IS WHAT DRIVES THEIR SO CALLED PASSION.
IF YOU ARE LACKING THEY PLAY THE PRICING GAME AND HOPE YOU JUST GO AWAY! HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!!
Dentur8
Ive been paying since May but still having with them can you please help me
Don't waste your time or money
Worst decision of my life. I got an upper denture..it did not fit, was too small and very uncomfortable.
Dr. Duffy assured me it was a 'healing denture' and the second would be fine. After suffering with that for months, I was told the second one would cost another $500 (not informed of that in the beginning) --I refused and they finally gave in. Second was a bit better but still too narrow and too thick.
Like trying to eat with a slab of plastic in my mouth. My friends with dentures eat corn on the cob and apples. I had to eat creamed corn and apple sauce. Lost 25 lb and had digestive problems because I couldn't chew my food properly.
Denture glue didn't help. Plate kept roaming around in my mouth. I suggested implants to secure them but Dr. said too expensive.
After 1-1/2 years, I finally gave up..went to another dentist, got permanent dentures implanted with no plastic across the roof of my mouth.
I can finally eat normal food! SO sorry I let Abby Dental talk me into this fiasco in the first place.
- Denture poor quality and never fit properly

Poor work poor time management
I went in to fix loose denture, they made it worst and i had to come back and each time i go in i have to wait one to two hours from appointment time to even be seen Then it takes them forever to fix the problem. Further more, i have had to replace two teeth because it fell out of the denture with in two years of having them and to top it off, i was eating a burger not some hard nut or something.
From the start, they wanted to pull all my teeth saying it was weak. They were too expensive for pulling so i go else where for extration while they make the denture. The other dentist state that i really didnt need to pull all my teeth. But i already paid over 800 for my temp dentures in advance and would have been left with a denture i paid for but couldnt use which is rough for someone like me on a fixed income.
I still cant come up with the next 400 dollars for the permanent dentures. I already borrowed the 1000 dollars to begin with.
Like really, these guys seem to only want money with no regard to the people that go there. Wish i had gone elsewhere
NOT HAPPY !!!!!
Called a day ahead for an appointment, got in at 7am for ex-rays and an exam. Just wanted a simple tooth extraction, was told it starts at $85.
it ended up costing me $195.00 for a lower front tooth that was already loose. They came back with a payment plan for cleaning and extraction, 0% down and 0% interest on a job that was priced at around $600.00 + I told them I just wanted the tooth pulled, OK $195.00, I said I would pay cash and I did, after that they took me across the parking lot to another office where I sat in the waiting room for one and a half hours.
long story short, my credit card lets me know of activity going on with my credit, Abby dental applied me for credit with care credit when I didn't ask for it in the first place, now my credit score has dropped by 30, now I have the hassle of trying to get this repaired. Nice people but NOT HAPPY with the way they do business.

Abbey Dental is a Joke.
After receiving phone call reminders 3 times for my free consultation, I arrived on scheduled time. The 1st thing handed to me were forms confirming my credit card information, driver's license, dental insurance, and a waiver from Abby dental indicating that they had no liability other than a reimbursement of charges not damages.
ABBEY DENTAL IS A JOKE. Save your time and your money and go elsewhere. Their only interest is your wallet, not medical practice or service.
Very, very disappointed with their unprofessional behavior. They are just a McDonald's happy meal dental practice doing it on volume, not quality.
Short Review on April&nbs-04:00;17,&nbs-04:00;2017
Call for appointment told them my insurance they said they accepting it . After driving 18 miles and waiting for an hour i been told they don't accepting my insurance. What a waste of time.
Abbey Dental Customer Care Review
This is the worst place to come to get Dental work done. They are never on time and it is truly a waste of energy to even drive there unless you are desperate. When you get there prepare to wait at least 3 hours and you better hope they have a solution for you.

Abbey Dental is a rip-off. They over charged me for services that wasn't done as I was tricked.
I lost an expensive tooth implant they have removed unnecessarily and over charged me for. I suffered painful recovery from it.
I'll never go back nor recommend Abbey Dental to anybody. In fact I will discourage anyone to go to Abbey Dental.
